Roller-Shutter Appliance Niche

A recessed worktop niche closed off by a roller shutter that rolls down flush with the cabinetry. Small appliances and clutter can live plugged in and ready inside, then disappear behind the shutter when the kitchen needs to look clear. It keeps a working zone available without leaving it on show.
